Embodying
the brotherly relationship between the State of Bahrain and
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and stemming from the two countries
concern to continue with the mission of the previously known
Alnoor Institute for the Arabian Gulf, the Saudi Bahraini Institute
for the Blind presently, to enable it to perform its humanitarian
duty, and in execution of the Memorandum of Understanding signed
by the ministries of Education in both countries, it was agreed
that the new name of the institute to be the Saudi Bahraini
Institute for the Blind effective 1st January 1997.
